Direct questions refer to those queries that call for one word answers if an explanation is at times required. Such question as ‘did you understand’ or ‘are you married’ as examples of direct questions. Indirect questions, often referred to as disguised questions, on the other hand are those requiring much more detailed responses e.g. why are you here? (Tuckman et al., 2012)
