Career Planning

Hi Can you help me with this question?

Many sources of career information were cited in this week’s chapter, and the video clip on Structured Activities demonstrated Andrea’s use of career information (viz., the World-of-Work Map in Chapter 6) to help Bud identify occupational information useful to his career goals. Comment on what you think Bud gleaned from this exercise. Then, for this discussion board, describe an ideal career guidance center that you think could help a client population of interest to you. (i.e., the physical layout, types of resources, staffing, etc.). In what ways could this career guidance center help a client turn career data into meaningful information?

Answer preview…………

Bud is a high school graduate that worked for his parent’s demolition company which gave him an opportunity to practice his negotiation skills. He believes that the likeness that people have for him is an additional reason why he is a successful negotiator. During the interactions with the counselor, he concluded that communication is an important skill for effective negotiation. Also, the counselor helped him to realize that the skills he has would be good in sales, as well as loyalty. One of the ways that students that are entering the labor market can overcome some of the challenges they face in their quest to gain employment and a source of income is the utilization of the information provided by guidance counseling centers………..
