EBP implementation requires most members of the healthcare organization to participate because it requires data that has been thoroughly compiled. Thorough research and hence the implementation of new ideas can take time. Most clinicians say that time is of the essence to them and this explains why they would prefer doing their normal duties than spend their limited time in the demanding process of implementing evidence-based practice (EBP) in their healthcare units.
