A leader in a democratic country is appointed by the power of the people and is expected to act on behalf of the majority and in good faith. Cato was an anti-federalist who strongly opposed positions like those of the judiciary and the Vice President as he regarded them as avenues for misuse of power. According to Cato, the head states are under a sacred obligation to protect the people they represent, and by doing so their, reputation is protected and respected (The Constitution Society, 2014). This meant that as a leader, one not only had a moral obligation to represent the people whom he or she represents but also protect their reputation……..
