Antibiotic resistance results from practices like misuse of drugs, long time of the drugs and treatment of infections that do not require antibiotics. Antibiotic drugs are essential in saving many lives since they treat infections that are caused by bacteria (Collignon, 2015). Bacterial infections are harmful to patients and it may be hard to treat them to their ability to resist drugs.
