Application Lifecycle Management is a set of processes used for software development. It involves the development, from the business idea stage, needs or a challenge, and then advances through different phases including the definition of requirements, design, and development, testing, and deployment on the field release to the market and maintenance through the product lifecycle. The processes are closely monitored and managed through proper tracking and documentation of the changes occurring in the application (Rossman, 2010). After the application loses its business value, it is no longer used as it has reached the end of its useful life on the market front..
