1. Please make a case either for or against classifying Chihuahuas and Saint Bernards as separate species.

Chihuahuas and Saint Bernards should be classified as separate species. Brown (2015),observe that a Chihuahua would not naturally mate with a Saint Bernard unless it is done by human beings through artificial insemination. From a biological standpoint, they can be considered as different species because they cannot naturally interbreed. Physically, it would be impossible. If the two species were put in the same island, the behaviors of both of them would prompt them to stay away from each other. Additionally, these two dogs have different sizes of the skull, and other body parts and this inclines them to be considered as distinct species. In essence, size and variations in the structure do matter in taxonomy…………..
