Select and discuss one (1) biogeochemical cycle. What are the human impacts?

Carbon Cycle

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

The Earth has four (4) major Biogeochemical Cycles: water, carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus cycles Under ideal conditions, all these cycles have a natural cadence and rhythm, which are balanced and harmonious. Humans extract and utilize resources, which disrupts the balance of the biogeochemical cycles.

Select and discuss one (1) biogeochemical cycle. What are the human impacts? Propose three (3) solutions to reduce human impacts on this cycle.

Answer preview………………..

Carbon Cycle

The biogeochemical cycle selected is the Carbon Cycle. This is among the most impacted cycle by most of the human activities. Human beings affect the carbon cycle in two significant ways: either by deduction of CO2 gas from the surroundings or addition of this gas back into the environment. Naturally, the Carbon Cycle is made in a way that is self-balancing and self-sustaining. Burning of the fossil fuels is the main wellspring of CO2 discharged into the atmosphere (Girard, 2019). Fossil fuels release more gas than nature can absorb, and this results…………..
