Jay Carlos and his wife Leigh have owned East Hampshire Homes for the last fifteen years. He is a business person and his wife a registered nurse in Concord, New Hampshire. Jay lets his wife be the head of medical services since she has a Master’s of Science in Nursing, and is a Family Nurse Practitioner as well as a Registered Nurse (MSN, FNP, and RN). She was responsible for compliance with federal, state, local health, and safety regulations regarding their practice. After a close study of requirements for the homes, she does not see any significant threat for infection of employees with hepatitis B pathogens due to blood contact. She, however, notices that infection may be through biting and scratching from violent residents who needed restraining. As such, she decided to administer tests for the pathogens for any new residents and preclude any resident found to test positive (Borden, & Cooper, 2002)…….
