Examples of these models include the Montessori Method, the High Scope Curriculum, the Teaching Strategies’ Creative Curriculum, the Bank Street Developmental-Interaction approach, the Direct Instruction model, and the Kamii-DeVries constructivist approach. Although all these models are used to instruct young children, the elements in a given model may vary in one way or another. Taking the High Scope Curriculum as an example, the elements includes the existence of an assessment tools, a set of teaching strategies, and the use of a training model.
