Blood characteristics upon striking hard surfaces

Blood is characterized based on its physical features of size, location, shape, distribution, and concentration. If blood strikes a hard surface at an angle of forty five degrees, the marks appear circular. When blood falls into a hard surface with a greater force or action, the bloodstains become projected. In some other instances, blood droplets may strike a hand surface at a perpendicular angle causing the bloodstain to form a circular shape.  Bloodstains become elongated or form a teardrop shape when blood strikes a hard surface at a considerable small angle.
