Classical Experimental Design

Classical Experimental Design

Describe (in your own words) the classical experimental design.

Explain the importance of each of the three major pairs of components. What happens if you do not do these three major things?

classical Experimental design:

(1) independent and dependent variables,

(2) pretesting and post-testing, and

(3) experimental and control groups,

with subjects randomly assigned to one group or the other.

Make sure you explain each component thoroughly and the question. no word count APA format.

Answer preview………..

Research always intends to develop new information or confirm theories based on actual observation of the phenomena under study. However, while it may be possible to watch some aspects of research within the field, there could be cases in which manipulation of variables would be necessary to determine the reliability of a particular theory on the said variable. Consequently, the importance of classical experimental design is observed under such circumstances. In this case, the researcher intends to observe the impact of a particular aspect, known as a variable, on the population under study. Therefore, the scholar divides the population into two groups and assigns the variable under study to one group, while to the other group he does nothing, to ensure that he would be in a position to evaluate change from influence of the variable under assessment. Ultimately, the researcher ends up with a control group and the treatment group……………
