  • Choose one of the clips from the “Editing” section and analyze the use of editing in one short paragraph. In your analysis, describe the transitions between specific shots and the overall effect this has on the scene.

In your analysis, describe the way specific shots are composed, paying particular attention to the camera angles, types of shots, framing, color, and the overall effect this has on the scene.
  • Choose one of the clips from the “Lighting” section and analyze the use of lighting in one short paragraph. In your analysis, describe the way the light looks in specific shots, how it affects the mood and the way we view characters, and how it sets the overall tone of the film.

Editing is a post-production activity in filmmaking which makes intensive use of digital technology. Editing is described as an art in which the editor works for hand in hand with the raw footage selecting shots and combining them into a sequence which creates a complete motion picture. Editing is used in assembling shots in a coherent series. Editing technique is used by a film director to eliminate parts of a video that is not important to give a full meaning of the video. Editing is heavily employed in the scenes of the film. At first, the man with a long gun in the Baptism murder does not shoot the guy they were walking with openly; the first kick him into dark place then shoots (The Baptism Murders, 1972). The glasses of the guy being massaged does not break entirely, but the bullet penetrates through his eye. The man in the white suit is shot dead through a glass wall, but the glass does not break. At the stairs, the police officer shoots at the stairs, but it appears to be the back guy who was being chased. In the bed, the shooter kills the children under the blanket though the blankets are not torn………..
