The sports industry is a multi-billion dollar field that attracts billions of fans as well. Particularly in the United States, sports have taken the center stage with many Americans showing pride in their teams. This industry has created careers where talented sports people earn out of their talent and thus live a life that many people covet. However, sports people in colleges are facing a different reality under the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Collegiate athletes receive minimum benefits, are prohibited from engaging in commercial activity connected to their sports, and are essentially unpaid despite making billions for the association. Therefore, the association has created a situation where these athletes lack everything that others have simply because they are in college and thus governed by the association. The NCAA should pay college athletes because the sports generate a lot of money for the association, failure to do so brings corruption, and it is fair to pay the athletes……
