Third Project Component: Goals and Objectives

Purpose

This assignment is intended to help you learn to do the following:

  • Differentiate an objective from a goal.
  • Use process and outcome objectives appropriately.
  • Write goals and objectives for a grant proposal.
  • Identify the purpose and use of methods in a grant proposal.

Overview

All good proposals need clearly defined and articulated goals and objectives. In Step 4 of the course textbook, you read about the differences between goals and objectives and what makes them effective within a grant proposal. In this assignment, you will define goals and objectives for your own organization’s project and discuss methods for executing them.
