Now that you are familiar with parole, discuss the release criteria as mentioned in Chapter 15. Which are the most relevant criteria, and why? Access the website of your state’s parole board. What are the criteria used to grant release? Discuss with your peers to determine if they differ from state to state.

A parole is the release of a prisoner before the prisoner’s court-imposed sentence is over. And after one has been released, he is no longer a prisoner but a parolee. There are several criteria used on parole release (Appleton, C. 2010, pg. 12). One criterion used to grant a parole is good behavior.
