After brainstorming your ideas, respond in paragraph format to the following questions:
How does one of your topics fit all of the following criteria: interesting, researchable, based on research (not opinion), and important?
What are three research questions related to one of the topic ideas you have generated?
In regards to the topic that interests you most, what is your preliminary thesis statement, which is based on your brainstorming and research questions?
Why are you interested in your thesis statement’s topic?
How does your idea generation process compare to the inspiration processes discussed in the TED videos?

For the past one week, members of my group have been trying to come up with ideas on how to reduce the number of criminal activities in a society. According to Farrington, Welsh & MacKenzie (2002), the number of criminal activities continue to increase despite the fact that existing research outlines some of the most appropriate strategies that society members can apply to reduce crime rates.
