I have been a caregiver working in assisted living facilities for 12 years working with the elderly and patients with Alzheimer’s. I have also completed my Associates Degree in Human Services with the goal of becoming an administrator of an assisted living facility for elderly. Recently I had a job offer for a management position working with developmentally physically challenged clients. The management position did not pay much more than what I was making. My current employer at the time asked if I would stay with a pay increase if she gave me a position of a team lead. This gave me two options that both, in the end, had pros and cons. However I did need to decide and make a choice.
