After the September 11th attacks, the United States of American created an interior ministry that was tasked with public security. Thus being the youngest American cabinet ministry, the Department of Homeland Security is also tasked with cybersecurity, anti-terrorism, border security, and disaster management. However, the DHS is a culmination of sub-agencies that tackle specific aspects of public safety. Nonetheless, it remains impervious to state that smooth operations between these sub-agencies have always been a challenge. The overlap in their jurisdiction has always been a primary source of conflict.
