Performing race is a common aspect of the contemporary society, and has as such been exemplified in different forms of art. In the eight episode of Master of None: Thanksgiving, the early years of thanksgiving had many issues related to racial issues in the society. However, the perception of different cultures changes across the years and evolves as the people become more appreciative of the differences in the society. For instance, a lot of negativity related to minorities initially accompanied the revelation that Dev is Indian. In 2015, Denise family is initially reserved on their daughter’s choice of girlfriend, key among the aspects being her time in China. However, the views change in 2017, when the family welcomes her back free of reservation. Such serves as an indicator of evolution in perceptions of racial differences based on performance in different contexts……………
