define and discuss the key characteristics of the global human rights issue/problem, and analyze what has been, and should be, done to correct the problem or improve the human right issue.

There are two primary focal points for the research project. The first is to define and discuss the key characteristics of the global human rights issue/problem. Core questions to research are as follows.

  1. What are the characteristics of the human rights issue/problem?
  2. How extensive is the issue/problem in the world – what is its scope?
  3. Which of the six specific human rights categories are most closely related to the selected issue/problem?
  4. What are the specific ways in which the right has been violated, limited, or ignored?
  5. What are some actual significant cases or examples that best illustrate the selected global human rights issue/problem?

The second focus of the research shifts to a problem-solving approach. What can be done to correct the problem or improve the human right. Here the focus will be on the following questions.

  1. What international legal agreements exist – globally and regionally – to address the issue/problem?
  2. What international organizations – both IGOs and NGOs – have been and are working to remedy the human rights problem and advance its protection and promotion?
  3. What specific recommendations would you make to further the protection and promotion of this particular human rights issue?

My topic is on the child sex traffic problem in the region of South East Asia

Preliminary Bibliography – A minimum of 12 sources in Chicago (POL majors) format of potential sources that you are considering for the research project. All of these resources need to be used, feel free to add more if necessary.

Essentially, the paper should do two things: define and discuss the key characteristics of the global human rights issue/problem, and analyze what has been, and should be, done to correct the problem or improve the human right issue. The sources from your preliminary bibliography, and others that you have identified since that assignment, should be the basis of this research paper.
