During the swearing in of Donald Trump as the US president, the phrase of alternative facts joined the post-truth and fake news era. The alternative facts arose from the misinterpretation of the people who attended the swearing-in ceremony. An individual who wants to measure objective reality has to abide by some of the scientific methods including the need not to ascertain what is true but instead establish what is false. The use of the presented hypotheses has to be reliant on the data supporting them for it to survive. There is also the method that high confidence does not equal objective proof, and perception depends on perspective, but subjectivity is not a measure of reality. The issue of illusions arising because of one subjective relativism departing dramatically from the objective data might have affected the White House’s claim about the size of the inaugural crowd……
