Deviance describes the violation acts of the already enacted laws and also the lack of compliance with culture and social norms. For young offenders, there is the violation of the law of the land. As young people, the society expects that they will grow with the knowledge and adaptation of the desired behavior (Chapman, 2013). Earn their living honestly and decently and in turn become respectable and law-abiding members of the community. However, sometimes the young people defy the enacted laws and disregard the cultural, moral behavior and norms thus operating within their world and realm of their own rules. When these happen, the young people are hence seen and regarded as defiant members. The society, therefore, considers the individuals as errant members, people who are incapable of following the law, people who cannot be relied upon and people who cannot uphold the desirable values in the community (Keirns et al., 2016). Thus, the fact that the behavior of the young offenders does not the societal expectations makes them be considered deviant members…………
