Do you think the piece would’ve had a bigger impact if she was the only one that contributed to the piece? I am curious because people generally like to take all of the credit for themselves, rather than distribute the credit. Maybe this is just a problem in today’s society. What are your thoughts?

I think Judy Chicago allowed so many people to contribute to her idea and art work because she wanted them to gain ideas about artwork creation. She also wanted the participants to be part of the cultivation of the history of women. The female history was important to her because according to her, female history that has been overlooked for a long time in the society. She also felt that there is a lot of information that has not yet been discovered(“Judy Chicago, The Dinner Party – Smarthistory”, 1). Therefore, allowing many people to contribute to her idea would lead to sharing of information. Judy Chicago was interested in the exploration of silenced conditions that women live in and the production of the truth about the actual experiences………………
