Epi in the Media Assignment

Epidemiologic research and findings often receive dramatic media coverage. Find a current article in a media source about a study’s results, and the original scholarly paper spurring the media coverage.

For this assignment, the media article should have been published during the semester that the student is taking this course: January-May of the current year for spring semester. Summarize the findings, comparing how the popular media piece relates to the scholarly piece, and discuss how the articles show the importance of epidemiology to the health of populations. Discuss the study type that is described in the scholarly journal article. This paper should be 2-3 pages long, in APA style.
