Answer: An organizational structure is a system that defines rules, roles, and responsibilities that helps an organization to achieve its goals and objectives. Thus an effective organizational structure is the one that allows an organization to achieve its goals and objectives as planned (Stacey, 2007). The following are some of the things that strategic leaders should do to develop and sustain an effective organizational structure. First, they should define the purpose and goals of an organization and present them in mission and vision statement. Secondly, the managers should establish roles and responsibilities to regulate how activities are carried out in the organization. Thirdly, they should establish a chain of command to sustain the organizational structure and facilitate the smooth flow of operations. Lastly, strategic leaders should also create and develop a flexible organizational structure that can be able to accommodate changes that may occur with the organization.,………..
