Describe effective methods you used in identifying and narrowing down to just one of the topics to further research for your Final Paper.

Initially when reviewing the list of topics, I instantly seen poverty and income inequality which sparked my interest on many levels. It amazes me that in 2020 children are not receiving a grade A education because of the demographics in which they were born into whether location, their parents’ income, etc.Or that Flint, Michigan since 2014 is still dealing with a water crisis. Why is this I ask myself is it because Flint is impoverished, is it because Flint, Michigan is one of the top 100 dangerous cities in America? In order to narrow down poverty and income inequality I generated a list of subtopics which included:unequal education, unequal healthcare, unequal access to healthly resources such as grocery stores. These three subtopics are were generate because this is an everyday struggle for people who live in poverty on a daily basis. From the subtopics I began to generate questions. My first question is, why are impoverished cities receiving less funding for education than schools in rich areas?Once I generate this question, I knew I found what I wanted to write about because the lack of education gives children a disadvantage from the start!
