Find THREE food labels with a nutrient claim, health claim, or structure function claim. (Chapter 2 in our book)
Compare the item to its alternative food. For example, peanut butter vs low fat peanut butter. In a few sentences explain the claim of the food, AND how it is different from the alternative.
If you find a label with a health claim, provide an explanation of the claim, and how it works. Also, compare it to its alternative. Ex. “Oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol”
The structure function claim will not reference a disease, but a general statement such as, “Supports immunity and Digestive Health”. Explain the claim and compare it to its alternative.
Do not use any of the examples given in instructions.
