Think of how Information Systems have really transformed the way you interact as a consumer within your community. Think about how your shopping habits have changed over the past few years. Are you an active online shopper? Do you shop with eBay, Amazon or even Wal-Mart.com? How do you purchase books, music and movies? Do you go to the store for such items or do you download and stream them right to your device?

Share with the class how Information Systems in the business world impacts your day to day consumer interactions. How does shopping online affect the smaller local shops?

In my community, we have witnessed great changes in consumer interactions as a result of the introduction of new information systems (Al-Debei, Akroush, & Ashouri, 2015). My shopping habits have tremendously changed. Five years ago, whenever I wanted to do some shopping, I used to visit stores and buy things I needed. However, today, I no longer go to stores whenever I need something. I order the products online, and within a few minutes, the products are delivered at my doorstep (Akman & Mishra, 2017). Whenever I need a book, I shop online using Amazon, and they deliver. I think that information systems have transformed the business………………
