Issues of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination are common areas of study within social psychology. The area of gender role stereotypes, in particular, has received considerable amounts of attention over the recent decades.

Identify and discuss 3 studies that explore gender stereotypes within United States culture or a culture of your choosing. Make sure to include the following:

  • A summary of each study and its results
  • The implications of the study in regards to gender stereotypes (i.e., what stereotypes were found or not found)
  • Discuss how gender stereotypes changed over the past 30 years.

Long ago in the United States of America, individuals believed that women were always associated with taking care of the family. In the nation, women were entitled to the health care of the entire family (“Gender Roles In American Society: An Observation,” 2017).
