Geographical isolation refers to the division of two populations from the same breeding group or species as a result of physical changes. In most cases, the separated populations may become different species due to adaptive radiation resulting from geographical isolation. Geographical isolation can occur accidentally or coincidentally. Some of the changes that contribute to geographic isolation include physical barriers such as a water body or a mountain, long distance, and significant events such as an earthquake. On the other hand, speciation is the development of new species that are distinct in the evolution course. Geographical isolation is critical in speciation since it facilitates evolution……..
