Homer (n.d) presents a case of conflict in his epic, Iliad, including decisions that significantly affect the war in the story. Different stakeholders engage in activities of the conflict, with the primary sides pitting the Greeks against the Trojans. One of the most interesting aspects of the story lies in the involvement of the gods in affairs of mortals, which in effects communicates of the close relationship between the gods and men. To this extent, the Iliad presents the gods as having interests that do not differ from those of the mortals of whom they are in charge. Particularly, some of the reasons for the gods’ involvement in the Greek-Trojan war in the Iliad relate to individual interests, just as much as is the impetus for the mortals’………………….
