The series I have chosen is The Office. The particular episode is the episode where Michael Scott carries out sensitivity training in the office. In this scene, Michael plays the coordinator mainly because he is the one leading the group communication. The information giver, in this case, can be said to be Toby. Toby provides information that to achieve sensitivity, one cannot make fun of a person because of their sexual orientation. Because this scene shows a case of poor group communication, the role of the information giver is undermined by the coordinator and the latter ends up kicking the information giver out of the group task. As earlier mentioned, this scene shows the failure of group communication. Therefore, the maintenance roles fail in some way.
