To become a self-sustaining society, that produces enough to feed its people and educates them well enough to innovate programs that ensure the sustainability of the island in the long term. Type of Government. A democratic society is the most functional society in the contemporary era. It ensures that there is harmony in governance and limited chances of resistance to propositions by the government since the people take active participation in various processes that define the rules of the society. Ultimately, the population in the Hawaii community will have representatives aid in planning and decision-making process, and these representatives will be selected by the members of the society through elections.
