Common Core Standards for U.S. Education

MISSION STATEMENT OF US COMMON CORE STANDARDS PROGRAM:

“The Common Core State Standards provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn, so teachers and parents know what they need to do to help them. The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young people need for success in college and careers. With American students fully prepared for the future, our communities will be best positioned to compete successfully in the global economy.”

Answer preview……….

Will Common Core standards achieve the mission stated above? Why or why not?

The mission of the Common Core Standards is ensuring a clear understanding of what students need to learn especially in Mathematics and English. According to me the mission of the program would be difficult to be achieved this is because of the different academic framework which is being dispatched in various states. Different teachers from different States view that a particular education framework would be viable if dispatched to students in various grades which in many cases tend to differ among the States. This usually become difficult to come with an organized and standard education framework that would be used by teachers in various education institutions thus the difficulty of the program to attain its mission. Another reason is that parents usually view a specific education technique as not effective to their children, therefore; they consider it to be abolished in schools. This brings conflicts of interest between the teachers and the parents becoming challenging to attain the mission………..
