What was Jesus’s message and what was his relationship to that message? In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus is presented as knowledge of the ancient history. In Matthew, Jesus mostly argues about tradition as well as its interpretation particularly the elders’ tradition. He disputes the Pharisees Sabbath’s observation. In one of the event, Jesus and his disciples were walking through a field of wheat, and the disciple who was hungry started picking and eating the heads of wheat. The Pharisees were quite disappointed because it was against the law to do such a thing on a Sabbath (12:1-2). They asked Jesus why he would allow his disciple to do such a thing on a Sabbath who answered by quoting the scriptures about what David did when he and his men were hungry (12;3). They went to the temple and ate sacred bread even if it was against the law. He also quoted how the priests in the temple often broke the law on the Sabbath, but they were not counted as guilty. Jesus taught the Pharisees about the law which the Pharisees……….
