The Peasants Tell Tales by Robert Darnton shows how an individual can carefully read different types of fairy tales and after that one can tell about the various life scenario of peasants. Darnton in the essay bring an idea about how we usually interpret fairy tales through overstating the real-life events. He explains that many of the fairy tales told by the French they explain their stories with real-life problems together with real-life issues. Darnton in the essay also points out that it is difficult for people to understand fairy tales since they were passed from one generation to the next through oral communication with many hand gestures and oral infections thus, difficult to accurately recreate the stories (Tatar, 2017). It is also hard to take the various symbols used in fairy tales and interpret them since they were only used at that time to explain the real-life problems that people were facing.……..
