Write an essay (1,250 words) using the following as a guide:

1.Summarize existing literature in relation to the proposed research question.

2.Include different perspectives on the chosen topic.

3.Explain how the proposed research can add to the existing literature.

Include at least eight references from scholarly sources.

Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

My research proposal question: “Do 5-7 year old elementary students with Intellectual Disabilities who participate in weekly basketball for a year have less anxiety in making friends than those that do not participate in weekly basketball?
