Maturity models and quality management

There are various maturity models and quality management efforts that have been defined in order to assure quality (ISO 9000, CMM, Six Sigma). Select one of the models and provide a brief discussion (2-3 paragraphs) on some of the characteristics of these models. For example, one might choose to discuss how the model can improve quality, another might discuss what is involved in using the process (i.e. certification), and another –  is the cost worth the benefit of implementing the process? Etc.
