Utilitarianism theory provides the most insight and remains more practical and attractive to many people because it focuses on conduct and discourages acting based on self-interest. Utilitarianism focusses on the consequences of an action that determines if it is morally right or wrong. It means that for utilitarianism, the moral conduct involves applying a moral principle to a specific situation (Vaughn, 102). Also, morality remains duty-based that is, it excepts individuals do what will maximize the happiness or benefit many people. Utilitarianism remains significant in the contemporary society because it shapes the social lives of individuals especially during decision making in fields such as the government, education, legal, and health systems…….
