Multi-tenancy is a term, which refers to an information technology architecture whereby a single software application runs on servers and feeds multiple clients with data. Under this approach, each client served by the software is referred to as a tenant. For example, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) can provide web services to various customers by running a single instance of its application on a single database (Sarkar & Shah, 2018). On the other hand, virtualization is the process of decoupling a database layer, which is located between the applicator and storage layers in the application stack. Thus, the process allows the pooling of server data into one cluster or database as well as sharing of one server information for multi-tenancy (Mani & Sullivan, 2014). Thus, the elements of both multi-tenancy and virtualization are very important in cloud-enabling technologies as the demand for large data keeps on increasing and both firms and individuals need to secure their data.Multi-tenancy is believed to be a crucial cloud-enabling technology because of its ability to maximize resources, thus enhancing efficiency while lowering operational costs. This is because firm would only need to have a single database, server, and application to access all information they need. The viewpoint implies that organizations’ staff members can access their ………………….
