The nursing care model observed is the Primary Nurse Care Model. This is a nursing model where there is continuous monitoring of one patient by a registered nurse who leads other nurses and medical practitioners on the daily tests and schedules geared to help accelerate the healing process of the patient. In my observations, the Registered nurse gave all the orders and directions on how to perform various tests and other medical-related activities. Also, the registered nurse dealt with a group of inpatients for the whole day and night.
