The change in our lifestyles has increased life expectancy, which has, in turn, increased the occurrences of diseases in the elderly. One of these major diseases is osteoporosis a disease which is characterized by the bone weakness that leads to fractures due to the decreased strength of the bones in the body.  It mainly affects the vertebrae, hips, and the bones of the forearm. Another main notation is that it manifests itself in the elderly. Once one has osteoporosis, their bones become fragile and porous, which in turn leads to fractures. In most cases, it is only discovered after the first fracture. During our lifetime, old bones are removed and replaced by the formation of new bones which happens mainly during our teen years up to the late twenties…………….
