Knowing that there is currently no cure for Parkinson’s disease, Dan is upset and ambivalent about taking medication. How can you help Dan understand his condition and how his medication, levodopa plus carbidopa (Sinemet), will help him?

Parkinson’s disease affects the nervous system, and it majorly touches the motor system. As the disease proceeds, symptoms become more vivid, which include, severe shaking, slow motions, and rigidity. These happen to be the early symptoms that are obvious (Poewe, Tanner, Volkmann & Lang, 2017).  The disease can also cause some behavioral changes with include dementia, anxiety, and depression.
