The contemporary health sector has experienced an increasing change in focus on care delivery, primarily due to the heightened calls for patient-centered care from various stakeholders in the sector. However, the popularity of the concept has experienced significant challenges primarily due to the ambiguity in the definition of what patient-centeredness would be, as different stakeholders tend to have different meanings of the concept (Scholl, Zill, Harter, & Dirmaier, 2014). For instance, while the caregivers would interpret the concept as providing an environment designed to suit individual patient needs, the patients could interpret it as an increase in the attention received from the care providers. On the other hand, the insurers would view it from a financial perspective, in which case they seek to reduce the cost of premiums to guarantee access to basic health care services for the entire population……….
