A myopathy is a muscle disease. It occurs at any age but may be prone to older adults due to increased muscle loss (Gadiparthi et al., 2018). Myopathy may be caused by immune-mediated phenomena and also could be drug-induced, metabolic, or inflammatory. A historical view of the patient should include the history of muscular dystrophy and any periodic paralysis. The physician mainly attends to patients with chronic myopathy through attending to the metabolic, inflammatory, or toxic causes (Gadiparthi et al., 2018). Muscular dysfunction is treated with a therapeutical approach and the prognosis is highly dependent on the disease etiology. Supportive management of patient function, drug therapy, physical therapy, surgery, and bracing are all approaches to the Pt treatment. The patient is in Erickson’s seventh stage of psychosocial development.
