Bulimia Nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by durations of rampant eating followed by different ways of purging to cover up for the overeating (Fichter , 2001). The methods used in purging include use of laxatives, intensive exercise and even inducing vomiting to mitigate weight gain and console an individual emotionally. The difference between Bulimia Nervosa and Anorexia is that even though both of them are eating disorders, Bulimia does not cause a substantial loss in weight.
