The FBI has an authority structure that involves a director at the topmost leadership. Currently, the director of the federal Bureau of Investigation is Christopher Wray. The director has several roles that he places in the bureau. The most important task is that he is responsible for the activities of the FBI and therefore reports to other arms of the government (Federal Bureau of Investigation). The leadership position requires a person with high integrity and professional experience in law and law enforcement. Director Christopher Wray has a good academic background and vast professional experience that uniquely qualifies him for the post. Wray is the eighth director of the FBI and was appointed on the 2nd of August 2017. Born in New York City, he is a graduate of the Yale University and earned his law degree that he was conferred in 1989 from the Yale Law School.
