A satellite clinic is a clinic which is separate from the main facility and provides services to people in a rural clinic. This project aims to assess the feasibility of starting a satellite clinic for Pocahontas Memorial Hospital (PMH) which is located in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. A satellite clinic will allow better access to healthcare services by the people of the county, and it will also expand the client-base for the hospital. Located at 150 Duncan Road, Buckeye, WV, the hospital wishes to open a satellite clinic that will serve the people of the county better. The current facility has a 25-bed capacity and is a level-four trauma center (Pocahontas Memorial Hospital, 2018). However, since the county is underserved and PMH is the only main health center, the function of this report is to present the feasibility of a satellite clinic as well as recommendations for the same.
