There are major issues affecting the police department in today’s society. There are increasing crime rates caused by poor economies in the society. Unemployment is also a source of the increased crimes in the society. Increased crime rates pose challenges to the police departments in trying to address and combat them. Police departments are also involved in policing multicultural communities that are a major diversification challenge. Each of the communities has different perspectives on the issues of administration thus posing challenges to the police departments.
